I'd recommend Laptops Plus to anyone. I took my broken laptop expecting it to be expensive to bring back to life. The very nice guys in the front took a quick look at it, then disappeared into the back, when they came out with a new power plug and plugged in my computer, IT WORKED! all i needed was the power pack thing, $80...thats IT. A couple other places i called quoted me over $200 without even looking at it. Im very happy with Laptop Plus's prices and customer service, ill be going there anytime i need anything computer related.

Replaced hard drive, cleaned up sytem!
My laptop stopped working. I brought it in and they said the hard drive was bad. They replaced it. I got it back the next day and they managed to save and transfer my files and system. They even cleaned it up so it ran faster. Incredible service. So fast. Lifesavers!!! Overall Rating (A)

I had a DVD that was pretty scratched up and wanted to make a copy of it in case the situation got worse. I wasn't really sure where to turn, so I searched for 'electronics repair in San Diego.' When Laptops Plus had favorable reviews, I decided to give them a call. Perhaps DVD repair could be part of the 'Plus' in their name. They said they'd take a look at the DVD- so I went in and a copy of the DVD was made. It played pretty well with only a few glitches and I was not charged a penny for this service.
I found the staff very knowledgeable, friendly, and approachable. I'm sure that they would be a great place to take a laptop, or inquire about other computer related issues.

These guys fixed my laptop for $100 less than what hp quoted me AND they did it way faster. They had to order a part for it and I still had it back in three days! They totally fixed it and didn't try to sell me any extra crap. They have laptops for rent while yours is being fixed too. I will definitely go back to them.

These guys are great! They are so honest its hard to see how they stay in business. Over the years I have given them work mostly in the form of laptop maintenance, and buying the odd part for something that fails on one of my machines. All-in-all, however, I really have gotten more value out of the free advice they have given me. These people deserve my business and your business because honestly and integrity seem to be so hard to find these days.
The other day, my laptop's monitor was not fully coming on. (It has actually been acting that way for the last few months.) This time I thought my machine was a gonner. When I brought it over to Laptops Plus in Kearny Mesa to show them the problem, my computer made a liar out of me. (It wrked.) I explained what was going on, and the tech (I forgot his name) told me it was probably not the video card, but the Something or other inverter. That was 2 days ago, and the machine has been working fine. He told me what I could do to deal with this problem, which took business away from them. (A dishonest shop would have tried to talk me into leaving the machine for a diagnostic, and then would have urged me to replace some parts.)
One small complaint though. They post hours of 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, but do not open right a 10:00 AM even when you are outside the door. I appreciate their right to chose their own hours, and if they want to open at 10:00 so be it. It would just be nice though if they opened up at 10:00 AM when customers are waiting outside.
